ALGAO: Scotland: The Association of Local Government Archaeology Officers: Scotland provides a forum representing archaeologists working for local authorities and national parks throughout Scotland.
BEFS: The Built Environment Forum Scotland brings voluntary and professional bodies in the built environment sector together, with a view to raising awareness of, and influencing, matters of strategic policy and legislation.
HEACS: The Historic Environment Advisory Council for Scotland is a non-departmental public body which provides independent strategic advice to Scottish Ministers on issues affecting the historic environment.
HLF Scotland: The Heritage Lottery Fund was set up by Parliament in 1994 to give grants to a wide range of projects involving the local, regional and national heritage of the United Kingdom.
Historic Houses Association for Scotland: The Scottish branch of the Historic Houses Association represents the interests of Scotland's historic houses, castles and gardens that remain in private ownership.
Historic Scotland: Historic Scotland is an agency of the Scottish Executive, forming part of the Education Department. It is responsible to Ministers for safeguarding Scotland’s historic environment and promoting its understanding and enjoyment.
National Trust for Scotland: The National Trust for Scotland is an independent conservation charity that protects and promotes Scotland’s natural and cultural heritage.
RCAHMS:The Royal Commission on the Ancient and Historical Monuments of Scotland is a non-departmental government body, responsible for recording, interpreting and collecting information about the built environment. This information is made freely available to the public.
Scottish Society for Directors of Planning: The Scottish Society for Directors of Planning promotes the interests of planning in local authorities through directors and other senior managers.
